Comprehensive Redevelopment of a Soviet-Era Hotel Complex
The buildings, constructed in the 1970s along the Anapa coastline, required an upgrade in both functionality and aesthetics. The new identity needed to reflect contemporary service quality and expanded leisure opportunities that meet the expectations of today’s guests. At the same time, it was essential to preserve the resort character of the place while making the hotel more comfortable and appealing.
Exterior and Interior Renewal
A distinctive new entrance sets the tone for an elevated hospitality experience, featuring a visually lightweight canopy that shelters guests from the weather. The hotel complex itself received a range of new amenities — including a festival zone and an open-air amphitheater. For diverse guest recreation, the design includes sports and children’s playgrounds, outdoor pools, and a network of walking routes.
The new aqua-thermal zone incorporates elements inspired both by the region’s natural features and by current wellness and leisure trends. Its thematic programming is aligned with the aesthetic of the inner courtyard, designed in the spirit of a Japanese garden.
A New Landmark for the Resort City
The façades combine natural materials with traditional elements of Japanese design, emphasizing the connection between the architecture and its natural surroundings. The carefully curated dialogue between the Japanese garden and the aqua-thermal zone has created a new point of attraction within the city.
The redevelopment has brought a new quality to the site: it has become not only a comfortable and inviting place to relax but also an integral part of the modern resort infrastructure.
